Faith is one of the most important themes in the Bible. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Faith connects us to God's promises, His power, and His presence. The Apostle Paul wrote:

When Abraham received God's promise that he would become the father of many nations, there was no physical evidence to support it. Yet he believed God's Word.

Abraham's faith was strengthened because he trusted what God had spoken.

Jesus said:

Life is full of decisions and challenges. God's Word provides direction.

Like a lamp shining in darkness, Scripture helps us distinguish right from wrong and keeps us from wandering away from God's will.

In Matthew 14, Peter saw Jesus walking on the sea. Peter said:

"Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water." — Matthew 14:28 (NKJV)

Jesus spoke one word:

Peter stepped out in faith because he had received a word from Jesus. As long as he focused on Christ's word, he walked above the waves. When he looked at the storm, fear replaced faith.

Faith Pleases God

God's Word is alive today. It still changes hearts, heals broken lives, strengthens faith, and brings people to salvation through Jesus Christ.

Faith and the Word of God cannot be separated. Faith comes from hearing God's Word, grows through God's Word, and stands upon God's Word. The Holy Spirit, who inspired the Scriptures, works in harmony with the Word to reveal Christ, transform lives, and empower believers.

When we read, meditate on, and obey God's Word, our faith increases. The Spirit of God illuminates the truth, making it alive in our hearts. Therefore, every believer should develop a daily habit of reading and studying Scripture.
